Press kit
Everything you need for a story on Glow.
No fabricated quotes, no press-release voice. What follows is what's actually true, written so you can lift it straight into a draft.
The story in one line
An Australian author built an AI coach out of her own books.
60-word version
Naomi Shiels wrote three books about getting unstuck in midlife, the Momentum Series. Readers kept finishing them and asking the same question: what do I actually do, starting tomorrow morning. So she built Glow, an AI coach called Sage, trained on those books. Glow launched in August 2026, a 90-day guided glow up for women in their 40s and 50s.
150-word version
Naomi Shiels is an Australian author and musician. She wrote the Momentum Series: three books, The Momentum Rule, Your Body Is Not Your Soul and The But I Will Era, each paired with its own album, published through her own company, Wild Hearts Publishing. Readers kept finishing the books and asking the same question: what do I actually do, starting tomorrow morning. A book can tell you the truth about momentum. It can't text you at seven the next morning. So Naomi built Glow, a 90-day guided glow up for women in their 40s and 50s. Sage, the AI coach inside it, carries the three books into daily use: one small move a day, never a list. There's no AI scoring of photos, no before-and-afters, and cancellation is one tap. Glow launched in August 2026.

Why it exists, and what's deliberately different
Why it exists
Naomi Shiels wrote three books about getting unstuck in midlife. Readers finished them and kept asking the same question: what do I actually do, starting tomorrow morning. Glow is her answer, an AI coach built on the books rather than a fourth book.
No AI face scoring, ever
Glow's optional weekly Mirror photo is never scored, rated, or run through any AI analysis. There is no face-analysis or skin-scoring feature and there won't be one, in a category where most competitors are adding exactly that.
Photos never sent to any AI
Mirror photos are stored in private, per-user storage. They are never public, never shared with other users, and never sent to any AI model for any reason.
One-tap cancel, built first
Cancellation is one tap, inside the app, no phone call and no retention pitch. It shipped before the pricing page did.
A coach, not a clinician
Sage is an AI coach, not a therapist and not medically qualified. Medical questions are redirected to the user's GP. Crisis disclosures are met with warmth and a direct handoff to Lifeline (13 11 14) and 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732), not coaching.
About Naomi

What Glow will not do
- No medical advice. Anything medical is redirected to the user's GP.
- No before-and-after marketing, and no body or face imagery used to sell the product.
- No guaranteed outcomes. Glow describes what the product does, not what a reader's life becomes.
- No AI scoring of a user's face, skin or body, in the product or in marketing.
- No cancellation friction. One tap, no phone call, no retention pitch.
Interview angles
Five questions a journalist could actually ask. No answers supplied here.
- Why build an AI coach out of your own books instead of writing a fourth book?
- You built the cancel button before you built the pricing page. What made that the priority?
- Most competitors in this category are adding AI face scoring. Why did you decide against it?
- What's the actual difference between a coach and a clinician, and why does Glow insist on keeping it?
- Glow launched with no fanfare and no metrics to quote. Why launch like that on purpose?
